New York Mets centerfielder Carlos Beltran has decided to undergo knee surgery just weeks before Spring Training is set to begin.

Reports are saying that the Mets were not involved in this decision and are unhappy with their star centerfielder. This surgery will require at least a 12-week recovery, meaning Beltran will certainly miss Opening Day and possibly the entire month of April.

This obviously knocks Beltran down for draft day and we will monitor his progress as we get more news.
