The Los Angeles Angels signed starting-pitcher Joel Pineiro to a two-year deal.

The Angels were looking to boost their starting rotation after losing John Lackey this offseason.

Pineiro was a solid starter for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2009 posting a 3.49 ERA in 214 innings.

Pineiro will still be a solid starter in Los Angeles but his lack of strikeouts will leave him undrafted in many leagues. Keep him in mind during your later rounds if you are in need of a starter.
