The announced outfielder will undergo offseason left wrist surgery.
The Jays expect Wells to be ready for Spring Training as the wrist surgery is minor.
Wells had a horrible season in 2009 with 15 HRs, 66 RBI, and a sorry .260 AVG. His numbers have been declining since his 2006 campaign.
Be careful when drafting Wells next season. He will be cheap compared to his career averages but don't be too surprised if he continues to regress.
