The Baltimore Orioles traded Ramon Hernandez to the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday for Ryan Freel and a couple minor leaguers.

The trade signals Baltimore's intention of bringing uber-prospect, Matt Wieters, to the majors in 2009. Wieters is listed as the top hitter in FantasyJuice's prospect rankings.

Wieters is a talented hitter who should adapt well to major league hitting. He accumulated 89 runs, 27 HR, 91 RBI, and a .355 batting average in 130 games last year in the minors.

Look for the Orioles to add a veteran catcher to start the season in Baltimore while Wieters spends a couple months in AAA.

Check out this collection of clips to get a sense of Wieters.

Wieters should be on everyone's draft watch list this season. Watch what he does in spring training before making your move. He could be a good mid-season pick-up.
