Tommy Hanson of the Atlanta Braves was named the Arizona Fall League MVP on Tuesday becoming the first pitcher to receive the award.

Hanson was impressive in every outing during the league's run. He earned five wins in seven starts while accumulating 49 Ks and a 0.63 ERA in 28.2 innings of work.

The fall league performance piggy-backed on Hanson's already impressive 2008 season. The 22 year-old is quickly moving up the Braves system and could see time in the majors during 2009.

Hanson's 2008 numbers included 11 wins, 163 Ks, and a 2.41 ERA in 138 innings.

Keep an eye on Hanson during the season. He could be a mid-season call up worth picking up. If you are in a keeper league, don't hesitate on picking him up.
