Kent Retires After 17 Years in the Majors
January 21, 2009
Jeff Kent decided to call it quits and retire, as a player, from baseball. Kent spent 17 years in the majors becoming one of the most prolific second baseman of all time.

Kent won the 2000 NL MVP award with the San Francisco Giants. He also appeared in five All-Star games throughout his career.

After a slow start last season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kent played well before missing the rest of the season due to injury.

This is a sad day at FantasyJuice. We will miss Kent's potent bat and 70's porn star mustache.

I guess this means I should probably remove Kent from my 2B rankings for the next update.

Or at least bump him down a bit. :)
