Greinke Signs Extension with KC
January 26, 2009
Zack Greinke agreed to stay with the Kansas City Royals by signing a 4-year deal worth $38 million. Greinke is coming off a year where he set career highs in strikeouts (183) and innings pitched (202 1/3).

At 25, Greinke is good mid round pick with 200k/year potential. He has a lot of upside in keeper leagues. The only thing you have to consider when drafting him is that he plays for the Royals, a team that has occupied the basement of AL Central 4 out the last 5 years. Last year they squeaked out 4th place by one game.
