Manny Staying in LA?
February 02, 2009
The Los Angeles Dodgers made Manny Ramirez a one-year, $25 million offer. The Dodgers previous offer of two years, $45 million was rejected by Ramirez's agent Scott Boras in November.

The soon to be 37 year-old outfielder clearly thought free agency was going to be more profitable, considering the numbers he put up last year. The most significant of those numbers being post-Boston.

Ramirez hit ridiculously well in LA, with a .396 average, 17 Hrs and 53 RBIs in 53 games! After the performance he put up in the playoffs, .520 Avg with 4 Hrs, I am guessing LA will do what ever they can to make Manny happy. Making him the 2nd highest paid player in the league for a year might just do that.
