Sheets May Miss Season Due to Injury
February 05, 2009
Free-agent starting pitcher Ben Sheets may miss the season to undergo surgery on his torn flexor tendon is his elbow.

This news comes somewhat as a surprise as Sheets was seeking employment after his contract expired with the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Texas Rangers were interested in Sheets earlier this offseason but his elbow injury kept the deal from closing.

Now that the cat is out of the bag it appears Sheets should make an announcement in the coming days regarding the injury.

I think it is quite obvious that you should stay away from Sheets in your fantasy drafts.
