Brewers' Hall May Miss 4-6 Weeks with Calf Injury
February 15, 2009
Bill Hall, third baseman of the Milwaukee Brewers, suffered a calf injury on Saturday and could miss up to six weeks of spring training.

Hall was performing some sprints in a private workout session and partially tore a calf muscle.

After an impressive 2006 season (35 HRs) many had Hall as a future top third baseman. Hall hit 25 HRs total his last two seasons and should only be on rosters in the deepest of leagues.

At this point, it seems Hall is in the way of prospect Mat Gamel. Keep an eye on this injury situation as it could mean more opportunity for Gamel.
