Brewers Prospect Gamel Has Sore Shoulder
February 18, 2009
Mat Gamel arrived at Milwaukee Brewers spring training camp on Wednesday complaining of shoulder pain.

The news is significant as Gamel failed to reveal his 2008 elbow injury to the Brewers until late into the season. He missed the last few games on the season with the injury.

The Brewers are expecting the shoulder injury to be minor and will make Gamel take it easy until the discomfort goes away.

Gamel should be a significant face in the Brewers future. He is expected to compete for the starting 3B job in Milwaukee during the 2009 season.
