Johan Faces Live Batters; Targeting Season Opener
March 08, 2009
Johan Santana of the New York Mets faced live batters for the first time since being sidelined due to a sore shoulder.

Santana said he felt find and there were no lingering issues after throwing a full-strength.

Santana believes that he should be ready for opening day and states that he has been working hard and doesn't anticipate any problems.

Keep Santana where he is at in your draft chart as it appears he is moving on from injury. There is always an issue of a chronic injury but he is still the #1 pitcher in baseball.
