Manny Delays Game to Switch Gloves
August 11, 2008
Manny Ramirez delayed Monday night's game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies for a few minutes in order to change his glove.

The television cameras showed Joe Torre and crew looking down the walkway, waiting for Manny to run back onto the field. He emerged from the dugout with a bright red glove instead of his usual black glove.

Jonathan Broxton owners were not pleased since this delay left Broxton on the mound for a few more minutes before the top of the 9th inning. Broxton saved the game but gave up two runs.
