Chicago Cubs' projected closer Kerry Wood was scratched from today's spring training game due to back spasms.
Wood looks to be the favorite for the Cubs closer role to start the season. He is competing with Bob Howry and Carlos Marmol.
Marmol is waiting in the wings to finish games for the Cubs while Wood is working his way back from luckluster, injury riddled seasons.
